We wrapped up “birthday season” in our household this summer with my precious middle daughter’s birthday. Fitting that hers is the last birthday, since her patience and steadiness are unmatched, certainly in our household. I am amazed by her dedication and commitment to achieving the lofty goals that she sets for herself. Even more impressive, though, is her kind heart. I have admittedly worried that her altruism might leave her particularly vulnerable to heartache, however she shows great discernment in protecting and guarding her own heart while still being mindful of the feelings of others. It is such a joy to watch her mature into the wonderful young lady she is destined to become!
