Lake Monticello Birthday Girl Summer Portraits in Charlottesville

Each year this precious girl carefully picks her outfits, hairstyles, and location (and most of her posing) for her birthday portraits in Charlottesville. Sometimes she surprises me with her selections, but this time it all seemed very fitting. I watched her through the lens, trying to see her as a subject and not little girl growing up way too fast. Her session is special date that I look forward to all year!
